Sponsorship Schedule

Yorkshire Sport Horse organisation (a subsidiary of the national Sport Horse Breeding of GB) is a charity and aims to encourage, reward and promote the breeding of quality competition horses in the North of England. It is run on an entirely voluntary basis by a small working committee. All profits are used to reward breeders with premiums and to stage educative demonstrations to increase knowledge and expertise.

We have a database of some 650 owners, breeders and producers all resident in Yorkshire and the North of England. This group represents a highly focussed group of dedicated, professional horse producers located in an easily defined area.

The Yorkshire Sport Horse Show was first run in 2002. Since that time it has grown considerably in size and stature and now showcases some of the best in-hand and ridden horses in the North of England. The show is a qualifier for the Horse of the Year Show, the National Hunter Supreme Championship Show, Blue Chip and IDHS Challenge and Retrained Racehorse Championships. The show also runs classes for Burghley Young Event Horses with the winners qualifying for the final held at Burghley Horse Trials in September. The quality of these qualifiers ensure we see the very best horses that the North of England can produce.

Yorkshire Sport Horse Show always supports a local charity - Marie Curie and Yorkshire Air Ambulance being the two most recent and the show will support the Air Ambulance again this year. Last year YSH were able to send the Air Ambulance a cheque for £800.00 thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, competitors, judges and trade stands.

The show costs go up considerably year on year and if the show is to continue, we urgently need to find more sponsors. The Yorkshire Sport Horse

Committee have put together some packages, which may help prospective sponsors decide which is the best arrangement for them. These proposals are suggested as guidelines only - any ideas, contributions or support will be gratefully received.

Our suggestions are as follows:

Platinum Sponsor Cost £200

  • Name of company may be used in title of the Class
  • Will cover all prize money and rosettes
  • Banner may be used in the ring
  • Entrance tickets (2)
  • Advertisement to be included in the catalogue (full page - sponsor to be responsible for correct artwork getting to printers)
  • Name to be included on Website Sponsor page
  • Name to be included on Sponsor Board at show
  • Name to be included on Sponsor Page of Catalogue
  • Logo to be used on Annual Dinner Programme
  • Two lunch tickets issued to each Platinum Sponsor to cover full lunch, wine, afternoon tea. (Extra lunch tickets may be purchased, in advance only, at a cost of £15.00 each)

 Gold Sponsor Cost £120

  • Will cover class prize money and rosettes.
  • Entrance tickets (2)
  • Name to be included on Website Sponsor page
  • Name to be included on Sponsor Board at Show
  • Name to be included on Sponsor Page of Catalogue
  • Two lunch tickets to cover full lunch, wine, afternoon tea. (Additional lunch tickets may be purchased in advance at a cost of £15.00.)
  • Preferential rate for advertising in Catalogue.

 Silver Sponsorship Cost £80

  • This sponsorship will be used to cover the cost of awarding
  • Championship & Reserve awards in each section.
  • Entrance tickets (2)
  • Name to be included on Website Sponsor page
  • Name to be included on Sponsor Board at show
  • Name to be included on Sponsor Page of Catalogue
  • One lunch ticket will be issued per each £80. (Additional
  • lunch tickets may be purchased in advance at a cost of £15.00.)

  • (Rosettes are currently provided by Toad Hall Equine for all Championships who will continue to cover this cost in 2010)

Friends of Yorkshire Sport Horse Cost £50

  • This sponsorship will be used to offset general overheads.
